Emerald City Kickball gives back in 1st Charity Tournament

Although we were less than a year old, the Sydney community had already given so much to our growth. We believed it was important to give back to the community.

In April 2020, we held a charity tournament where over 60 people competed in teams for the opportunity to select a charity to donate all event proceeds. The tournament was open to anyone in the community to participate regardless of past experience playing or participating in sports or kickball. What a fun day! At the end of the tournament, the winning team, the Avalon Clusters helped selected the ultimate winners, The Smith Family. Emerald City Kickball donated a total of $1,000 to your organisation.

Our league may only have eight teams at this point, but The Smith Family is now an honorary ninth team as part of our inaugural philanthropic outreach. Their work reduces the barriers and increases access to education for children of all backgrounds which couldn't be a better match with our league's mission. We look forward to making Charity Tournament’s a regular part of our operations!

Great game! Good cause! Can’t lose!
